Impression of Impressionism

Growing up I was immersed in Impressionism as it was the most popular genre of art in Japan at the time. Going to see fine art was, and still is a very popular leisure there. I learned colors and painterly ways through observing numerous exhibitions with my mother.  The funny thing is that many exhibitions were held at Department stores and most of the guests were women.
